Advantages of DSR brass CNC machining parts
- High-quality brass material: By adjusting the metal content, brass is enhanced with corrosion-resistant and non-conductive properties, resulting in superior parts.
- Optimized cutting paths: By adjusting cutting parameters such as feed rate, spindle speed, depth of cut, and rake angle, the accuracy and repeatability of brass parts are enhanced.
- Excellent cost-effectiveness: Brass’ excellent properties generally require no subsequent surface treatment, while its long service life significantly reduces ongoing maintenance costs.
Leading Brass CNC Machining Parts Manufacturer
Brass, a copper-zinc alloy, possesses excellent physical properties and is easy to cut, making it ideal for CNC machining. DSR owns several imported CNC lathes capable of drilling, turning, milling, and other CNC processes, and we can provide a wide range of brass parts for your projects.
Our multi-axis CNC lathes enable simultaneous machining, and can process complex surfaces and structures. Utilizing brass’s high-dimensional stability and impact resistance, we optimize cutting parameters and tool paths to raise precision.
DSR’s high-speed spindle enables higher feed rates and the use of smaller tools, reducing cycles and achieving burr-free surfaces. Combined with advanced chip evacuation and cooling systems, we can streamline subsequent machining steps and extend tool life. This delivers perfect surface finishes while minimizing costs.
If you require a variety of brass parts with high surface quality, please contact DSR for custom orders. As a professional OEM manufacturer, we offer competitive wholesale pricing.

Different surface treatments of DSR brass CNC machining parts

Features: No additional processing steps required, retains tool marks.
Advantages: save cost, fast delivery, suitable for areas where functionality is more important than appearance.

Effect: Removes minor surface burrs, achieving a mirror-like finish.
Applications: Decorative parts and high-end contact surfaces, such as instruments and lighting.

Effect: Creates a directional satin finish with a strong texture.
Applications: Decorative hardware, appliance panels, and other visually oriented applications.

Effect: Coats with a metal layer, such as nickel or chrome, to raise corrosion resistance and visual aesthetics.
Applications: Electronic connectors, decorative parts, and corrosion-resistant components.

Effect: Vacuum-sputtered metal coating with high surface hardness and wear resistance.
Applications: usually used for wear-resistant surfaces or modern appearances.

Effects: High rigidity, corrosion resistance, and bright decorative effect.
Applications: Decorative hardware, water supply fittings, industrial fasteners, etc.

Effects: Electrochemically removes surface micropores, resulting in high smoothness and a mirror-like finish.
Applications: Food, medical devices, and parts needing high cleanliness.
Equipment and Processing Depth: CNC cutting machines (such as machining centers) are capable of deep cutting, high-precision dimensional control, and difficult shape processing.
CNC engraving machines focus on shallow surface processing, emphasizing appearance and the clarity of text and images.
Differences in Tools and Paths: Cutting’s tool paths focus on bulk material removal and structural contour formation; engraving paths typically use fine lines and small tool diameters, emphasizing repeatability and design presentation.
Comparison with Laser Engraving: While not a CNC tool, lasers offer a non-contact ablation method in “engraving” applications, so they are suitable for detailed markings or pattern imprinting. However, CNC engraving generally has a more durable cutting depth.
Some brass alloys, such as the widely used C360, can’t withstand acidic environments and are prone to corrosion or cracking. Careful consideration should be given to alloy type and protective measures when choosing brass for use in chemical, marine, or acidic environments.
Highly machinable brasses, such as C360, often contain lead to enhance machinability. However, lead may pose regulatory and health problems in medical, drinking water, or environmentally sensitive applications.
Brass is generally more expensive than lighter metals, and its density, at approximately 8.5 g/cm³, is significantly higher than light metals, increasing material and transportation costs.
Brass generates sticky chips during machining, which easily accumulate on the tool, affecting cutting efficiency and surface quality. Its relatively high cutting forces place higher demands on tool material and cooling solutions.
Some brass alloys, such as those that have too much lead or with difficult structures, with poor performance in welding or hot working, are unsuitable for applications requiring subsequent welding or hot working. Some grades are unstable under harsh environments and require additional annealing, which increases process cost and cycle complexity.
Brass offers excellent machinability and superior cutting performance differs from metals like stainless steel. This allows for high-precision and difficult shapes, reducing both processing difficulty and cost.
Brass is cheaper than pure copper and stainless steel, but in many applications, it has similar performance.
Brass’s melting point, near 900°C, is lower than that of pure copper, needing less energy to machine, thus reducing energy costs.
Brass also has good recyclability, and its scrap can be recycled and reused, resulting in a higher scrap value, thus reducing the overall cost of raw materials.
