Our Custom Sizes and Interface Configurations
Our custom vacuum chambers not only change the dimensions of length, width, and height. The position of the ports, the way the cover is opened, and the installation relationships of internal components all affect whether the equipment can be assembled and used smoothly.

We support compact test chambers, to large cabinets and horizontal/vertical cylinders measuring several meters in length and width.

We can rely on multi-axis linkage CNC machining to precisely ensure the intersection angles and concentricity of multiple ports.

Fully covers UHV CF knife-edge, HV ISO/KF claw clamp quick-release interfaces, industrial large-diameter flat weld flanges, and customized special groove types.

We offer various opening components such as quick-release blanking plates and double-axis hinged suspended doors. In large opening designs, we also consider the sealing performance and the convenience of routine maintenance and replacements.

We can pre-machine precision guide rail slots, sample stage brackets, contamination prevention shielding baffles, sensor mounting steps, and water cooling pipeline supports inside the chamber according to your drawings.

Water-cooled/oil-cooled circulation jacket pipe ports, thermocouple and electrode feedthrough lead holes, high-precision vacuum gauge tube ports, as well as external heavy-duty lifting screw holes and foundation support frames, etc.
What Vacuum Chambers Can We Manufacture?
We can manufacture various types of vacuum chambers for you, and I will introduce them one by one below.

Cylindrical chambers are the most widely used and cost-effective form of vacuum chambers. The chamber is formed by welding seamless pipes or rolled plates, and the ends can be configured with flat covers, dished heads, or quick-opening doors. KF, ISO, CF, or ASA flange ports are arranged on the side walls as required.

Rectangular chambers provide an ideal choice for large flat workpieces and applications that need to fully utilize internal space. The chamber walls use reinforcing ribs or honeycomb sandwich structures to resist atmospheric pressure deformation. We control weight and cost while ensuring component rigidity.

Spherical cavities have optimal stress distribution and maximum internal effective volume. Under the same wall thickness, they can withstand higher pressure differentials. This component is suitable for applications with intensive interfaces that require multi-directional convergence to the center.

When device layout is constrained or requires close integration with mechanical structures, DSR can manufacture customized chambers with various irregular profiles. By combining CNC integral machining with precision welding, we ensure sealing reliability and dimensional accuracy even with complex geometries.

Medium vacuum chambers are suitable for a variety of industrial applications. Each chamber is custom machined according to your drawings and precisely dimensioned to ensure reliable and cost-effective performance in a production environment.

HV chambers cover a pressure range of 10⁻³ to 10⁻⁷ Torr, serving as the primary equipment for most industrial coating, electronic device packaging, and scientific research experiments. DSR utilizes stainless steel or aluminum alloy, combined with a flexible configuration of O-ring sealed ISO flanges and CF metal-sealed flanges.

Ultra-high vacuum chambers are designed for extreme vacuum requirements below 10⁻⁹ Torr. Our UHV chambers are made of bakeable stainless steel and equipped with CF metal seal flanges. This ensures minimal outgassing and long-term stability for the component.

DSR’s modular vacuum chambers are built around standardized flange interfaces and interchangeable port configurations, allowing you to reconfigure, expand, or adapt your system as your process evolves.

Materials for Custom Vacuum Chambers
We strictly procure raw materials from legitimate and compliant steel mills. For critical load-bearing components and flange connections, high-density forged materials and quality plates that comply with standards are prioritized to ensure dense and pore-free materials from the source. No matter what material your project requires, we can recommend the most suitable material based on your design drawings and vacuum level requirements, and provide genuine material test reports (MTR) upon delivery.
- 304L / 316L Stainless Steel: Low carbon content, good welding performance, corrosion resistant, and high structural strength.
- 316LN Nitrogen-Controlled Stainless Steel: This material withstands multiple baking cycles and maintains extremely low magnetic permeability at high temperatures.
- High-Purity Aluminum Alloy: Significantly lighter than stainless steel, excellent heat dissipation and thermal conductivity, good machinability, and high machining efficiency.
- Oxygen-Free Copper / Red Copper: Extremely high thermal and electrical conductivity, low internal oxygen content, not prone to oxidative embrittlement.
- Titanium Alloy: This material has low density, extremely strong resistance to specific chemical media corrosion, and naturally excellent non-magnetic properties.

Vacuum TIG Welding
Welding quality is a critical factor in determining the sealing performance and durability of vacuum chambers. DSR strictly adheres to vacuum industry processing standards, utilizing internal TIG welding with high-purity argon gas protection.
For different pipe wall thicknesses and complex geometric components, our welding technicians expertly match clamping fixtures with step-by-step welding parameters to minimize welding heat deformation. Furthermore, all chambers undergo helium mass spectrometry leak detection after welding is complete.
Machining & Port Alignment
For complex chambers with multiple viewports, pump ports, and sample introduction channels, the concentricity and spatial relative angle of the port flanges are critical. We rely on large-scale CNC machining equipment to precisely finish the ports of the formed chambers, reducing assembly errors caused by multiple re-positioning.
For CF knife-edge flanges commonly used in ultra-high vacuum and KF / ISO grooved surfaces for high vacuum, we also use special form tools for precision turning to ensure the sealing surfaces are flat and burr-free.

Quality Verification for Every Vacuum Chamber
Every vacuum chamber requires stable airtightness and high-precision geometric dimensions. For this purpose, DSR has established a standardized comprehensive quality inspection specification. From spectral material re-inspection of raw materials upon factory arrival, to actual measurement of critical dimensions and geometric tolerances during machining, to the mandatory helium mass spectrometry overall leak detection test before shipment, we implement every inspection step thoroughly.
In addition, finished chambers undergo degreasing and thorough cleaning with high-purity water. We ensure that these components are sealed and packaged in a clean environment, and a complete inspection report is included with the shipment.
Advanced Surface Finishing Options for Vacuum Chamber
Different surface finishes directly determine the microscopic surface area, internal gas adsorption sites, and the efficiency of subsequent baking and pump-down. We offer a variety of proven and tightly controlled surface treatment processes.

This surface treatment method can remove grinding agents and mechanical stress deformation layers remaining from traditional mechanical polishing, significantly reducing microscopic physical specific surface area.

We will use professional mechanical polishing technology to remove milling tool marks, turning patterns and other surface imperfections from components. This surface treatment method will significantly reduce roughness while ensuring wall thickness tolerance.

We will use clean, iron-free media specifically formulated for stainless steel , blasting is uniformly applied in an enclosed, controlled environment. This process efficiently removes weld heat tint, thermal discoloration, and fine micro-burrs.

We strictly adhere to ASTM A380/A967 specifications. Through this surface treatment method, a dense, continuous, and stable passivation film will form on the stainless steel surface, significantly improving the chamber’s weather resistance in humid environments or under corrosive trace gases.
Application of Custom Vacuum Chambers
Our custom vacuum chambers have been used in multiple industries. With our mature processing tolerance control and clean handling capabilities, we provide our customers with customized vacuum chamber solutions.
Yes. It is our standard process.
Yes.
The working principle of a vacuum chamber is to continuously evacuate gas molecules using a vacuum pump within a sealed container capable of withstanding external atmospheric pressure. This makes the internal pressure much lower than the atmospheric environment, thereby providing a clean, low-interference space for processes such as coating, analysis, and thermal testing.
