Functions of Surface Finishing
Appropriate surface treatment methods can effectively improve the appearance, tactile feel and performance of parts, while also meeting assembly, wear resistance and corrosion protection requirements.
Through various surface finishing processes, it is possible to:
- Reduce surface roughness and minimize machining marks
- Improve corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and scratch resistance
- Achieve matte, semi-matte, brushed, or mirror finishes
- Improve the performance of sliding, sealing, and mating surfaces
- Prepare surfaces for coating, bonding, or subsequent assembly
- Improve color and texture consistency across mass-produced parts
Whether you need a functional surface or a decorative surface to enhance the appearance of your parts, DSR will select the appropriate finishing process based on the actual application of the parts.
Different Types of Surface Finishing We Offer
Depending on each customer’s specific part requirements, we use different surface treatment methods to enhance the parts’ appearance, functionality, and protective properties. Below are some of our most common surface treatment methods.

CNC parts are delivered directly after CNC milling or turning. The surface of the parts retains uniform machining tool marks and no additional mechanical or chemical treatment is performed.
